[service_item title="INFORMATION PROCESSING" img="http://www.sensoryintegrationsimplified.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/sensory_images/services_icon_01.png"] What is information processing and how can we relate this to the treatment of children with Autism, ADD, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Apraxias and more. This is not a book about a single diagnosis, but rather a theory and method of how to "fill in the blanks" of development. [/service_item] [service_item title="ASSESSMENT AND INTERVENTION" img="http://www.sensoryintegrationsimplified.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/sensory_images/services_icon_02.png"]By using a bottom up approach to assessment and intervention , we as teachers, therapists and parents can understand a philosophy that helps build skills from the ground up, rather then a top down cognitive approach to this development. [/service_item] [service_item title="COMPREHENSIVE , QUICK READ" img="http://www.sensoryintegrationsimplified.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/sensory_images/services_icon_03.png"] This is a quick read allowing for a brief, but comprehensive understanding about how these processes function together. [/service_item] [service_item title="COOL GRAPHS AND DIAGRAMS " img="http://www.sensoryintegrationsimplified.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/sensory_images/services_icon_04.png"] There are visuals in the book that graphically describe how this all goes together to make that "whole" child. Testimonial

“Parents and Primary Care physicians need to know how to navigate the system and move care in the right direction.
One needs an approach that takes into account the ‘whole child’. This book explains just that and the approach is simple and relatable!”

"As a pediatrician who has a large practice focused on Children with Special Health Care Needs for almost 20 years, I frequently encounter children with diagnoses related to behavior and development.

Diagnosing children who have severe problems can be easier than those with more subtle issues. You may either get told to ‘wait and see’, or you may get misdiagnosed in order to fit into a particular diagnostic category and treatment regimen.

When it comes to treating developmental issues, therapy (Speech, Occupational and Physical) plays a pivotal role, sometimes for a short intensive treatment period, and sometimes for many years. Diagnosing and treating the individual correctly is crucial though, especially with Sensory Integration.

Starting with a clear and simple understanding of Sensory Integration will help understand the direction that care and therapeutic intervention needs to take. Parents and Primary Care physicians need to know how to navigate the system and move care in the right direction.

One needs an approach that takes into account the ‘whole child’. This book explains just that and the approach is simple and relatable!”
